Yes... Eat it. Just got my modem upgraded thanks to the company guy who visited. I was wondering why mine felt like it was going to melt. Apparently a few months ago they upgraded their lines. Muhahaha. *Drools at downloading.*
(Oh, and max speed is suppose to be 6M, upload 512K.)

Cable modems (assuming that's what he/she has) often have slow upload speeds. That's faster than our upload.
And about twice our download.
I want a full T3 line piped into our house. Maybe soon...

=) And yes, it is a cable modem. I actually didn't crash once last night. It was bloody amazing!
*Hugs new modem.*
And the 6 Meg download was at full blast last night. MMMMM. Good stuff.

EnD, our broadband in the UK can go to 8Mb Broadband, so you may still have a bit of catching up to do

Yep, I know the UK has the 8 Meg stream, but do you end up using the full line? Should take a few tests and check. I think your 8 Meg a month is pretty expensive isn't it? I'm paying about $35 CND roughly for mine.
And 24? =) Aren't you guys spread out enough that theres no clutter on the lines?

Your download speed : 5597691 bps, or 5466 kbps.
A 683.3 KB/sec transfer rate.
Your upload speed : 487626 bps, or 476 kbps
.. Good?
